October 2014 (4).

I have just harvested these 3 beauties from a row of 7 beetroot.  They are all clean, healthy and a generous size.  As I type this, I can hear the pressure cooker whistling, and in a few minutes they will be ready to take out.  They are destined to be pealed, sliced and preserved in sweet spiced vinegar.  They are a real treat served cold on a salad or with shepherds pie.
