Battened down against the intense heat of the sun.  It was 38 deg C in Melbourne today (7th Jan) and it will be 33 deg C tomorrow.

The rhubarb plant suffered worse than most, and was left unprotected because it will be removed shortly (lots of rhubarb and blackberry jam) to make way for Ecobed 4 .  The potatoes in the foreground are dying back naturally and will be ready for harvest in a couple of weeks.
