February 2015.

Harvesting climbing beans (Epicure).  Because the weather has been quite warm recently and the legume bed is so laden with green growth, the bed's water tank needs refilling every 5 days.

This batch was top and tailed and the longer ones cut into 3 pieces.  They were blanched in boiling water for 2 minutes, cooled quickly in cold water and dried.  They were then put into zip lock bags and packed in the freezer.  I will have to bottle the next batch in brine as we are getting short of space in the freezer.
